The Section 8A Cross Country Meet was held at Bagley, on October 27. With the temperature at 32 degrees, a sharp north wind, and 6" of snow on the ground, it promised to be a challenge for all the runners.  After having an ideal season of fall weather for cross country meets, mother nature was balancing things out drastically. Snow and cold weather usually affects certain runners negatively and gives advantages to other runners. The times and mile splits would not matter in a race of this kind. Mental toughness and determination would play a major role.
