Roseau traveled to Brainerd for the first of two regular season games on Friday, December 15th. This game was the first meeting between the Rams and Warriors since last February’s classic Section 8AA four overtime championship game victory that sent Roseau to the state tournament. Fans at that game remember an ongoing battle of near misses that finally came to an end when Ella Helgeson emerged from the corner and took the puck to the net while firing a shot over Brainerd goalie Olivia King’s shoulder for the game winner.
