Looking at Old Medical Costs

To the Editor,

I decided to look at some old papers of all kinds that my mom had kept for one reason or another. They had been in file cabinet for the more than thirteen years since she passed. The ones that take care of my wife’s and my stuff after we are gone will take much longer than that to look at all of it. Of particular interest was a hospital bill for my grandmother from November 1951. It is fairly short and done on a typewriter and not a computer.
