Rams have two champs at Fosston Tourney

At the Alfred Olson Memorial Invitational Tourney last Saturday in Fosston, Chandler Mooney and Ben Olson won titles in a field dominated by Detroit Lakes, which ran away with the team title (276 points) with Ottertail Central earning runner-up honors (185.5 points).

The Rams scored 100 points to place fourth in the eight-team field.

At 152, senior Chandler Mooney opened with a 17-0 tech fall over Nashwauk's Jaden Mehle to advance to the semis where he scored a 19-4 tech fall over Ottertail's Hunter Dahl.

In the finals, Chandler won on a 17-5 major decision over Blackduck's Logan Dobmeier.
