Kermit Jensen is the new Roseau County Commissioner

After cruising to a primary victory this past May over six other challengers, Mr. Jensen enjoyed another comfortable victory on Tuesday evening as he defeated Tim Palmquist, 329 votes to 122 votes for the District 4 seat.

Both Mr. Jensen and Mr. Palmquist were first-time candidates.

Kermit was reached by phone on August 7, the day before the special election to fill the seat of Commissioner Russell Walker, who resigned due to health reasons.

Jensen was asked about the primary election and his commanding vote tally - 320 votes to Palmquist's 76 votes.
