Warroad- Our beloved mother, Marie Yvette Nash, left this earth after a brief but difficult battle with cancer. A fighter until the end, she passed away on March 1st at the age of 81.

Marie Yvette (Battles) Nash, the daughter of Edith (Oliver) and Clinton Everett Battles, was born on August 6, 1942.

She was married on August 6, 1959, in Marshall, to Vernon "Penny" Howard Nash. They resided in Milwaukee, Wis., Lexington, Ky., and Ashland, Ky., before returning to Warroad in 1974.
