FEMA officials hear the frustration in Roseau

Maybe they should have had a Happy Hour before Mayor Jeff Pelowski welcomed the FEMA folks from Chicago on Tuesday evening in the Voyageur Community Room at the Roseau City Center.
It was some welcome with Mr. Pelowski rehashing all the long-standing disappointments over FEMA maps, flood insurance, and just plain frustration before an estimated crowd of 75 residents, some of whom later voiced their own displeasure to the Feds, who listened politely and patiently to their complaints.
It was reminiscent of the Paris Peace Talks during the Vietnam War because the two sides seemed to be talking...
