Here was President Trump's Chief of Staff John Kelly on Monday night on Fox News declaring that the "lack of compromise" had caused the Civil War.

For the uninformed, the Civil War or the War Between the States was fought from 1861 to 1865, and the good guys won.

The lack of compromise that Kelly mentioned was over slavery and states’ rights.

The South wanted to expand slavery into the new territories while the North was opposed.
