Every day of the week, our rural Manitoba neighbors cross the border to shop in Roseau.

It doesn't go unnoticed.

On Monday morning, Mark Tangen, the manager of Auto Value, didn't need any prompting when asked about the economic impact of the Canadian shoppers.

"We like our Canadian customers," he said. "They're very accommodating and very nice to wait on. They're good people."

On average, he and his fellow salesmen see upwards of ten Manitobans every work day.
