Forget all those fancy places where the yards look manicured, nothing is out of place, and you're afraid to pee on a tree.

Here's a nice contrast.

Nothing beats hanging around an old sawmill with piles of sawdust, slabs, 4X4 tamarack posts and rough lumber stacked high.

You build a place with rough lumber and you've got something solid, and you have the slivers to show for it.

Out in the Pencer area, I was waiting for Arnold Kaml to finish lunch and head back out to his sawmill.
