During Tuesday's Roseau County Board meeting, Treasurer Diane Gregerson informed the commissioners that the first half tax collections were about the same at this point last year.

"The Treasurer's Office has collected 54 percent of the levy amount," said Commissioner Jack Swanson, noting that the county board had delayed any penalties until mid-July.

"People who were struggling with the COVID-19 thing would then be able to have a little bit more time to make their payments. Apparently, just about everyone did anyway. So, that was interesting," he said.
