The TV show ALASKA does a good job in showing how Alaskan malamutes are trained to be fast and effective while pulling a sled. The famous Iditarod Race is an example of teamwork and endurance. Training pups for this race or for just pulling a sled is both frustrating and funny to watch. The pups have no idea they need to go the same direction. They will get hitched up, all barking, jumping and wagging their tails. So full of energy and enthusiasm. Tied up with seasoned sled dogs, learning to run together.
