Right from the moment I picked up a book, I was hooked on reading. It clicked so easily in my brain that I never had to think about what I was reading –– aside from the more complex vocabulary words here and there.

I remember in first grade, I got in trouble for reading along in the book we were reading without the popsicle stick we were supposed to use to follow along. I got so frustrated on the inside, since I was reading along, I just didn't need to use a popsicle stick.
