Thank you Roseau and Warroad

Bro was kind and made my life easy this week. Or was he?!?

I think we all know he wasn’t really thinking about me and giving me almost no space to write much. He had wrestling on his mind and Hult.

So it was either out of the kindness of good ol’ Bro’s heart or pure coincidence that he had a ton of photos of Hult and made my life easy this week.

Whatever the reason is I am thankful since hockey has been kicking my butt the past few weeks.

Carrie and I have been going non-stop. Julie, Laurel, Bro and Kyle helped out A LOT, too.

The Roseau and Warroad schools, communities, coaches and players were so great to work with and very helpful! It takes a huge team to get the extra sections done and our area has a great team!

Everything from the kids completing the surveys to photos and more photos, printing and delivery.

It also takes great advertisers supporting the sections to get them published. We wouldn’t be able to do half as much as we do without their support.

The communities come together for the kids/teams and it is amazing to see all the support!

Thank you Roseau and Warroad for your generosity, support and assistance! It doesn’t go unnoticed!!

I hope everyone enjoyed the sections and posters. If you missed seeing the sections they are on our website and FREE to look at and enjoy!

I can’t forget to thank our printer for the quick turnaround time on the sections, too!!

Cattle Drive Casserole

Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs ground beef

3/4 cup onion, diced

1 bell pepper, diced

1 taco seasoning packet

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded & divided

1 sm. can (4 oz) diced green chilies

1 (10 oz) can Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies

2 cups Bisquick

1 1/4 cup water, divided

Directions

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.

Brown ground beef, drain off grease. Add in diced onion, bell pepper, taco seasoning and 1/2 cup of the water to pan. Simmer approximately 10 minutes until onion & pepper are softened.

In separate bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, 1/2 cup cheddar cheese and green chilies, set aside.

Stir Bisquick and 3/4 cup water (you may need a tiny bit more water) to make a soft dough. Spray 13X9 baking pan with non-stick spray. Press dough into bottom of pan and bake 5 minutes.

On top of biscuit layer, spread ground beef mixture, next add can of Rotel spreading over ground beef mixture, next spread the sour cream mixture and end with remaining shredded cheese sprinkled over the top.

Bake 30 minutes.

Joke of the Week

Two women waited for St. Peter at the Gates of Heaven.

The first woman asked the second how she ended up there. The second woman said “It was very dark and cold and I was shivering and it was unbearable. I was so cold I slowly faded from consciousness and died. What about you?”

The first woman said “I was convinced my husband was cheating on me, so I went home early from work to catch him in the act. I burst into the house but he was watching tv. I wasn’t convinced, so I tore through the house like a mad woman, looking in every room and closet and under each bed. I got so worked up I had a massive heart attack and died, so here I am.”

The second woman responded “Well I sure as heck wish you would have looked in the freezer. Then we would both still be alive!”
