What's it take to write a thousand words minimum for a column?

In my younger years, it took a couple of beers and then the juices began to flow.

Those were the days back in the late 1980s and most of the next decade when life was a hoot.

We didn't have so many knuckleheads in this country and on this planet.

Around 1987, I was informed by Jan Dutcher that my services as a freelancer were no longer needed.

She owned this joint. Her husband Tom, a decent chap, had moved away.

Nothing lasts forever!
