  • Try this challenge next year

    Jeff Olsen|Sep 10, 2016

You say it's been a long political campaign? I agree. So, last week when I caught word of this unique way of testing your limits, I reached for a cold beer and thought, "Those poor buggers!" And then I called Chuck Lindner of Warroad, who organized the 1st Brush Craft Bike Ultra out in the Beltrami Island State Forest in 2015. For starters, who would want to punish himself for 126 miles on rough roads and maybe get mauled by a mountain lion? "You gotta be a real man to do this one or be crazy,"...

  • Shameful

    Al Buffum, Buffs Stuff|Sep 10, 2016

Before launching into reading this column... please be advised the column in no way reflects a partiality for Mrs. Clinton. Be further advised... the purpose of the column is to express embarrassment as a gentleman for people having the audacity to seemingly disparage Miss Hillary with scurrilous unproven personal statements. Ever since some meathead TV doctor... with a name proving to be elusive at this time... made the totally unsolicited proclamation Mrs. Clinton was suffering from severe...

So first let me say that, yes, my name really is Dave and I am going to tell you about this dude named Mephiboseth. In the Biblical book of 2nd Samuel we meet a young five year old Mephiboseth. We are told that his father was Jonathan (the...
