  • The songwriting man from Nashville with his roots here

    Jeff Olsen|Dec 7, 2024

by Jeff Olsen We all have dreams. Aaron Espe, a 2000 Roseau High School graduate, is in Nashville these days as a singer and songwriter. He laughed, adding that he was familiar with Tiny Tim, the falsetto singer of the 1960s. "I'd say I'm closer to James Taylor probably. My dad had his Greatest Hits on CD, so that was influential growing up. Aaron describes himself as more...

by Jeff Olsen Start with the soda crackers. Matt is the muncher, at least at that moment that they both saw the buck at almost the same time. That buck didn't stand a chance. It had to be thinking, "Who are these hombres and how come they keep shooting me?" It was Thursday, November 14, and both Matt and Mark Przekwas have big families. So, venison is important for the former Roseau High School graduates now living six miles apart in rural Lancaster. "We did shoot it on state land," Mark said....

    Ryan Honl|Nov 16, 2024

by Ryan Honl No, it’s not a Jeep that Polaris built, although Polaris certainly does make plenty of utility vehicles these days, including for the military. If you’ve seen it by chance or know anything about it, there’s an intense search for it. Shane Miller, of the Austin Bantam Society, contacted the newspaper about the search for the Polaris vehicle after he found a...
